MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
NWWM

Words from the NWWM Director:
Words from the Women's Work President:

Greetings to each of my sisters and brothers! I am very grateful for the vision and mission God has set before us for 2015. We have already made tremendous progress in the area of supporting the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and its many agencies across the United States. Our efforts will culminate when we present a donation to a Domestic Violence Agency in Little Rock, during our National Convention. We have also launched the Mighty Praying Women prayer ministry. Over twenty MPW’s from around the Brotherhood are praying each day for your prayer requests. My desire is to continue the efforts of my predecessors by making the National Women’s Work Ministry a dynamic ministry of helps. This year, four workshops, a play, and a panel discussion have been designed to teach, motivate and inspire women of all ages. Women of God, we can work together for the good of the whole. Yes we can! Together we can build strong families, churches and communities. Please join us.

May God continue to bless you richly!

Evang. Mareeta Fowler
National Woman's Work President

A. SISTERS OF ADVERSITY WORKSHOP
Unfortunately, many women have experienced some form of domestic violence within their lifetime; if nothing other than the controlling behavior of dominance. Amazingly, women in the Old Testament and New Testament can give women of today insight and hindsight into complex situations that will Empower us, Encourage us, help us to Esteem one another and will teach us how to let go of a sinful lifestyle; as well as, the benefits of living according to the Spirit. These women are:
Salty Wives: (Leah & Joanne) Missy Blanch Wright – District #2, Sis. Virginia Cottrell – District #1,
Spirited Mothers: (Hagar & Syrophenecian Women) Evang. Dewan Polk – District #1, Evang. Eleanor Tait – District #9
Savvy Widows: (Naomi & Widow of Zarepath) Evang. Davetta Stafford – District #6, Pastor Regina Sheffield – District #9
Let us envision and instill capable women with purpose, persistence, and perseverance in the name of our Lord.
B. Skit: “Damaged Goods” directed by Min. Jacqueline Sheffield, District 9, is a skit about a group of young women that have had a more than troubled past. They are sent to a church counseling session where things get even worse. This well performed skit basically deals with just about every issue that we see occurring in our society today. The skit ends with the pastor’s testimony of how she overcame her past.
C. “Praying On Purpose” Workshop presented by Pastor Barbara Dillard, District 5, is designed specifically for those who would like to learn more about intercessory prayer. Whether new to intercession or a seasoned prayer warrior, this workshop on Intercessory Prayer will provide a broadened view and a fresh perspective in various areas of intercession.
D. The National Women’s Work Ministry will host a late evening dinner with a panel discussion based on the book, “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man” written by Steve Harvey. The book and the panel discussion will focus on what men really think about love, relationships, intimacy, commitment and what is outlined in the word of God. While dining sumptuously, three mystery men of the church will serve as panelist and will respond to questions from attendees. Elder Claude White will facilitate the discussion.
